Custom WordPress Themes
I prefer working with the Genesis framework, by StudioPress. I have customized other premium themes in the past, most recently for example, the Fresh Journal theme. One of the main reasons I encourage my clients to use something like the Genesis framework, is that it makes it very easy for each client to maintain their own sites.
While manipulating the framework to make it do what you have in mind for your site may not be something you want to tackle at the start of the design/redesign process… editing it as your site grows is something I can teach you how to do very easily!
What does a customized theme include?
When you contract GingerWench.com to design a customized WordPress theme, you’re hiring an expert that understands what it takes to run a business on the internet, and how to make it possible by managing your site’s content using WordPress. When I customize a theme for you, you will receive the following:
- A unique design including original graphic elements, a logo if you don’t have one, a custom “Favicon”, a matching background image for your Twitter account, a Gravatar to match your site’s branding, and a variety of standard size banner ads, all promoting your business branding.
- A customized layout built on the Genesis framework. I start with a multi-functional framework, and build your site around it. If you have a particular layout in mind, let me know, otherwise our consultation will give me a better idea of what would best suit your business goals.
- Social networking is built into every customized theme, according to your desire to participate. Twitter and a Facebook page for your business are both highly recommended. I include the integration of these sites into your design, making it easy for your site’s visitors to connect with you and stay updated on your latest offerings.
- Plug-in installation and set up is also included. You must purchase any premium plugins separately, with the exception of Gravity Forms… I include professional and highly functional forms through Gravity Forms on every site I design at no additional cost.
- Coaching is included in all my design packages, and cover the following topics (but in no way are limited to); blogging, search engine optimization, social media use and marketing strategies, site maintenance, online marketing, offline marketing, affiliate marketing, branding, online community building and participation. This coaching, and the initial “interviewing” process which is required in order for me to understand your business, and what you need your web presence to accomplish for you are taken into consideration when I quote your project’s price. The “start at” pricing shown below is a very base cost which I add to when considering coaching and planning your web site’s strategy.

A customized WordPress theme package will always include the elements listed above, as well as the plugins I feel are necessary to manage your site efficiently. While there are a few plugins I always use, your site may require something a little different, so I don’t provide a list here. When I say “customized”, I mean it… all my WordPress Theme packages are tailored to your specific needs!
Customized WordPress Theme packages start at $500. If you require a shopping cart, or large photo gallery/portfolio, your customized WordPress theme package would start at $700. To get a free estimate for your project, I’ll need more information so please fill out the Site Evaluation form here.
